FOR ALL YOU GEAR NERDS OUT THERE
A bit of an insight into some of my favourite bits of gear and how I’m using them to create my music.
I’m running a hybrid setup that combines hardware restrictions with software flexibility. Everything can be sequenced on separate MIDI channels from a DAW and sent to the hardware via a MIDI thru box. This is then printed back in on independent audio tracks for further processing.

My main battlestation combo of Digitakt 2, Syntakt & SP-404MK2. Been doing a lot of my drums on the Digtakt recently and warping key samples with it. It's just such a creative workflow.
My favourite baby right now (Prophet Rev 2 8 voice) for poly chords, arps and more with Dreabox typhon for more monophonic lines
OTO Boum for that analog glue. Mainly been using this post digitakt/syntakt to give a bit of colour
Quirky little granular flavours from Nanobox Lemondrop. Not played around in too much depth yet but v cool for soundscapes
Side station of Hydrasynth for more FM/Wavetable sounds and TR-8s for when the Digitakt and sampled drums just don't cut it.
Studio pedalboard running as an aux send. Empress Zoia, Strymon Timeline, Hologram Microcosm alongside basic guitar tracking chain (Dyna Comp & Strymon Iridium). Microcosm has to be my fav here for all that glitchy goodness.
Audient Evo 16 running as the master with Focusrite 18i8 and ASP-800 as slaves looking after the I/O. Warm EQP pair for stereo analog colour. DBX286s mic pre helping give the vocal some shine
